Pam Hata is an R&B singer based in Brushgrove, NSW.
Stories and banter come between the songs at a Pam Hata show, and her Māori culture runs all through it. She plays solo acoustic, mixing her own songs with covers, and the sound is upbeat and soulful, a blend of R&B, folk and pop that gets people clapping along. The covers roam widely: Jolene, No Diggity, Seven Nation Army, Fallin', Uptown Funk, Black Hole Sun, Gold Digger, Bad Guy and Ain't No Sunshine all feature. There's also a duo show of originals and covers, and a band that plays original music at festivals. Her set-up is simply a vocal mic and a guitar. Pam lives in the Northern Rivers region of NSW and travels up to 50 km.
