O'Ziriguidum Escola de Samba

Samba drums at full volume are the whole idea of O'Ziriguidum Escola de Samba, a Melbourne percussion ensemble playing Brazilian rhythms. Their sound blends traditional samba and samba-reggae with contemporary funk grooves, all under music director Mark Grunden. You can book them on a stage, or as a parade that moves through the crowd and brings the drums right up to your guests. A drumming workshop can be added to either. Performances run at least 30 minutes. They'll need a secure green room to change and store drum cases, plus a 10-minute buffer before and after so the drums can go up and come down, and a stage plan with tech specs is available. Street festivals are home ground, and the group runs drumming classes too. Public liability insured, they travel nationwide.
