OverDrive is a cover band based in Adelaide, SA.
OverDrive play guitar rock loud and proud. The Adelaide four-piece draws mainly on the 60s and 70s, with Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Deep Purple, Cream and AC/DC at the heart of it, and a few later bands like Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots and The Living End sneaking in. Expect La Grange, Sunshine of Your Love, Black Night, Alright Now, Highway to Hell, Interstate Love Song and Born to Be Wild. Nick Lenthall sings and plays guitar, Stephen Tovey is on lead guitar, Rob Dello plays bass and Neil Williams drums. The core list can grow to include the host's favourites, party tracks or some slow blues. Set-up is simple. It's a band for a birthday or a pub night where the crowd grew up with riffs, and they travel up to 200 km.
