About
Our Generation is a cover band based in Perth, WA.
Four sets, four decades is one way Our Generation run a night: the 60s, the 70s, the 80s, then 90s and millennium hits mixed with a few current chart songs. The Perth show band has six players, including two lead vocalists who change costumes and characters as the show goes on, and a song list of more than 300 that lets them suit a mixed-age crowd. The same players also form Swing Generation, bringing in three brass players dressed in white suits or colourful tuxedos for songs by Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr and Nina Simone, and Oz Generation, which sticks to classic Australian songs. Their record includes over 150 shows at Crown, the Perth Cup and Derby Day at Ascot and the Hopman Cup Ball, plus support slots at Leeuwin Estate for John Farnham, Michael Crawford, Boz Scaggs, Roberta Flack and k.d. lang. Overseas, they've played the Singapore Cricket Club and the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club.
