Oscar LaDell

Oscar LaDell can play it cruisy or raucous, depending on whether your crowd wants to sit back or get up. His sets mix classic blues and soul covers with his own songs, so The Thrill Is Gone, Let's Stay Together and Try a Little Tenderness sit beside Tennessee Whiskey, Charlene, Bring It On Home to Me and (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay. Solo, he needs only a chair and power. The band show needs room for three or four players and a few power points, plus a PA and desk, or he can bring a PA by arrangement. He grew up in a seaside village in southern New Zealand on blues and soul, and now plays out of Melbourne, from cafes and bars to outdoor events and festival stages. He and his band members all hold public liability insurance, and he travels nationwide.
