Not My Circus! is a musical trio based in Melbourne, VIC.
Not My Circus! play brass house, which means dance hits reworked for horns and drums. Shake It Off, Flowers, Don't Start Now, Teenage Dream, Lush Life and Kylie's Can't Get You Out of My Head are among the covers, and the list keeps changing as new hits land. Played acoustic, the trio needs no set-up at all and can walk into your venue already playing, then roam through the crowd. For a bigger feature set, speakers and clip-on mics help them fill the room. The line-up comes from a rotating roster of Melbourne drummers, sax players and trumpeters, and you deal directly with the musicians who'll be on the gig. The act is run by drummer Campbell Phillips and trumpeter Matt Isaacs, who've been booking gigs together since 2010. Every player has a Working With Children Check, the act carries public liability cover, and they'll go anywhere in Australia.
