Noah Shilkin

Noah Shilkin tells stories between songs, and some of the songs are stories too. He's written around 300 of his own, played something like 3,000 shows and covered more than three million kilometres getting to them. Rooms have ranged from an arena down to a piano bar, where the audience sits close enough to hear every word. The music started early and from two directions at once. He learned piano from the nuns at Sacred Heart Convent in Perth, and sang in a synagogue choir from the age of five. He's based in Fremantle, and he suits a night where people have come to listen rather than dance.
