Mutable Objects

Nothing in a Mutable Objects set is fixed. The Brisbane band plays funk that's fully improvised, with rhythms and keys stacked on top of one another so the groove keeps shifting under your feet. It started as a nod to 1970s funk and quickly grew into something looser and stranger, which the band sums up as broken funk for your imperfect existence. It's a set for a late room that wants to dance to something it hasn't heard before, and it rewards a crowd that likes surprises.
