Tropical dancefloor music is Moses Iten's specialty. He plays it as a DJ and performs it live as Cumbia Cosmonauts, and for two decades he's toured the world doing both. He has supported Australian shows by Thievery Corporation, DJ Marky, Gotan Project and DJ Krush. Away from the decks he digs for records, works in the studio and researches the music itself; his doctorate covers digital cumbia and the culture of sound systems. That depth makes him a strong choice when you want cumbia and tropical rhythms driving the floor. He's based in Hobart.
