A wedding ceremony is where Metta Musica really earn their keep. Portia Briana sings and plays guitar, Billy Wild plays percussion, and together they'll soundtrack each moment: the bridal party walking in, the couple's entrance, the signing and the walk back down the aisle. You pick a few of those songs yourself. They can also play a 30-minute set while guests arrive and another while everyone mingles afterwards. Expect songs like Blackbird, Graceland, No Woman No Cry and My Heart Will Go On, and they'll arrange almost anything else you ask for. Portia has spent five years playing on Sydney's Northern Beaches, and she's appeared at Bello Winter Music Festival and on the Factory Theatre stage in Marrickville. They bring all their gear, ideally with power and a covered spot for wet weather. Insured, the pair will go as far as 500 km for a booking.
