Loud, fast and a little scrappy on purpose, Merlot play pub rock covers as a four-piece, leaning punky and rocky, with the odd funky detour. The songs come from the 70s through to the noughties, picked for how rowdy they get, and every so often there's one you won't see coming, played their own way. Think a Saturday pub night, a milestone birthday or the work Christmas party once the speeches are done. Their own sound and lighting rig comes with smoke machines, though a venue with a decent system can just have them plug in. The band works out of Sydney and travels up to 100 km.
