Merlin is a guitarist based in Redcliffe, QLD.
One guitarist, one voice, and a sound that fills the room like a whole band. Merlin sings and plays lead, rhythm and slide guitar over professionally recorded backing tracks with real drums and backing vocals, so the classics come out close to the records. His usual show runs three to four hours with three 15-minute breaks, though he can go shorter or longer to suit your night. The music is classic rock and pub rock from the 50s to the 00s: AC/DC, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Status Quo, Deep Purple, ZZ Top, plus plenty of Aussie and Kiwi favourites like Cold Chisel, Icehouse, Spiderbait and Powderfinger. Three decades of paid gigs sit behind him. A floor space with power is all he asks, ideally under cover. Home base is Redcliffe, he'll go as far as 300 km, and he carries public liability cover.
