Memphis Nights & The Mojo Sapiens bring a fired-up mix of bar rock, southern rock and blues, with originals among the covers and a lot of crowd interaction built into the show. Out of North East Victoria, the band works as a three-piece, or pared down to a duo. The covers sample reads like a roadhouse jukebox: Sweet Home Alabama, Mustang Sally, Roadhouse Blues and Folsom Prison Blues, plus Born Under a Bad Sign, Johnny B. Goode, Stand By Me and Honky Tonk Women. The sound is gritty and rustic, made for a pub night or a party with a crowd ready to join in. They need a stage, and a house PA and mixing desk help. Weekend packages are available, and they travel statewide from Benalla.
