Melvis the Elvis

Melvis bursts onto the floor in a white jumpsuit for a 30-minute Elvis show, then sticks around for photos and a dance or two. After a big entrance track, the set usually runs Hound Dog, That's All Right Mama, Heartbreak Hotel, A Little Less Conversation, Kentucky Rain, Viva Las Vegas, Suspicious Minds and Can't Help Falling in Love. He sings to backing music through a portable speaker and radio mic, so there's next to nothing to set up, and he can simply appear. That short surprise format is made for a birthday. A costume change adds half an hour each of Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, or he'll stay on as a singing DJ all evening. Fifteen years into the show, he counts a stint as Movie World's resident Elvis and an award from the Parkes Elvis Festival among his credits. Albury-based, travels up to 100 km.
