Old New Orleans music from the 1920s to the 1940s is what Melody Graves loves, and her bands play it with real energy. There are two ways to book. The six-piece is Melody Graves and the Hokum Redemption, and the quartet is the Melody Graves Combo. Both mix jazz, swing and blues, from lively sets for dancing to more soulful moments. The players are Brisbane jazz musicians, and the band is a familiar name at jazz clubs, festivals and events around South East Queensland. It suits a Gatsby or 1920s theme, or any party where swing dancers are likely to turn up.
