Mellissa is a musical soloist based in Brisbane, QLD.
Mellissa can arrive alone with an acoustic guitar or front a five-piece party band. Solo, it's her voice and guitar on light Top 40 and party songs. One duo adds an acoustic lead guitarist for dinner, another brings light percussion, and a third pairs her with a drummer, plus backing tracks if needed, for dancing. The four-piece has male backing vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass and drums, and the five-piece puts keys on top for rock and dance classics next to today's hits. The songs come from Bruce Springsteen, U2, Katy Perry, Maroon 5, Eric Clapton, Pharrell Williams, Matchbox 20 and more. At a wedding reception she can stay up to five hours and play as many as four 40-minute sets, with the sound checked before anyone arrives, recorded music in the breaks and your bridal waltz live if you want it. The Brisbane singer has spent over 15 years in bands and works only with professional session players.
