McKenzie is a cover band based in Brisbane, QLD.
McKenzie put crowd interaction at the centre of the show. The Queensland band plays songs from the 50s through to now, often with a twist of their own, and they work hard to keep the audience involved whatever the occasion. The usual line-up is four players, but they can go down to a duo or trio, or up to six. Their own PA and lighting come with them. Gold Coast pubs know them well, with gigs at the Surfers Paradise Beer Garden, the Hoey Moey, the Cooly Hotel and Broadbeach Tavern, and they've also played Treasury Casino in Brisbane and wine festivals in South Australia. Weddings, festivals, private parties and corporate events are all part of their calendar, and they'll travel a long way for a gig.
