Melanie runs MCG Entertainment around one idea: a single booking covers the music for the whole wedding. Before the reception or over dinner there's an hour to an hour and a half of easy acoustic guitar and vocals, then party songs from classics to Top 40 once the formalities are done, with your requests worked in. Between and around the live sets, DJ music keeps things going. The packages include good sound gear and a cordless mic for the speeches, dance floor and laser lighting, and a planning consultation before the day. Line-ups run from solo to duo, three-piece and up to a seven-piece band. Melanie has more than 15 years in the industry, with band work for weddings, corporate events, TV and radio.
