Matt Day

Matt Day sings and provides his own accompaniment, so the whole show is one person and a small, close sound. That suits a room where guests are sitting near the music rather than across a hall from it. His songs lean on the blues, with folk melodies running through them and a clear singer-songwriter streak. It's the kind of set to put on through a long lunch or the early part of an evening, when people are talking quietly and there's space to actually hear the lyrics. He's based in Byron Bay.
