Martoya Jackson

Dance is where Martoya Jackson's drag begins. She's a Brisbane queen, working out of Meanjin, whose shows draw on her Polynesian heritage and a heavy dose of pop culture, built around chart hits and plenty of choreography. At the 2022 Sydney Fringe Festival she won Best in Dance, along with three touring awards. Off the back of that she reworked her solo stage play and toured it to Sydney WorldPride and the New Zealand Fringe in 2023. For a Pride night, a club floor or a party that wants a performer who actually moves, she's a strong pick.
