Martin & Mearns

Three players, with room for a fourth: Martin & Mearns are singer-songwriters Dave (Smiley) Martin and Chris Mearns, plus a lead guitarist, and a drummer can join when the occasion calls for one. Most of the night is classic hits from the likes of the Eagles, Roy Orbison, Van Morrison, Neil Young, Norah Jones, Jackson Browne, Neil Finn, Mark Knopfler, Rick Price and the Bee Gees, with a handful of their own songs. It's a warm, easy sound for a mixed-age or more mature crowd. An hour can be split into two 30-minute sets or three of 20. They bring the instruments and a compact PA, enough for up to 300 people seated,, so a 3 by 3 metre undercover stage with 240v power is enough. Stage lighting is available on request. Sydney-based, insured and travelling up to 200 km.
