Mark Divola

Electric guitar out front is what sets a Mark Divola solo show apart. He plays over stripped-back tracks, built that way on purpose so the guitar work gets room to breathe, and runs it all through current gear. For something smoother there's MDM, his yacht rock harmony trio, with Danny Faifai on bass guitar, Mat Stokes on congas and Mark on guitar. The trio has held down Sunday sessions at the Loose Moose in Broadbeach. That makes both formats a good match for a Gold Coast afternoon, a bar, or a function where guests want music with a bit of polish.
