Mark Direen

Every Mark Direen session comes with a set of photographs: eight to ten images and stories from Point & Shoot, the Australian Veteran Photography Exhibition, which gives a rare look at the lives of Australians who have served. Those pictures sit beside candid accounts of Mark's own time on the frontline. The talks deal with pushing through hard times, keeping your footing when the ground keeps shifting, and putting your own skills to work in whatever you're chasing. Signature keynotes include The Value of Experience, about why lived experience still matters in a digital age, and The Power of Adaptability. Each engagement is shaped around the goals of the audience in front of it, whether that's a school, a corporate conference or a sporting team. Mark is based in Hobart and travels nationwide.
