Early in the evening Mari. might be spinning vinyl or singing a stripped-back acoustic set over dinner, and by the end she's driving the dance floor with funk. The Sydney artist moves between R&B and soul with touches of disco-funk and hip hop, layering her voice with live looping, rap and improvised sampling. She's also a digital and vinyl DJ and a trained live mixing engineer, so she knows how a room should sound. Requests she hears often are Alicia Keys, rap classics and anything soulful. There's a solo option and a duo option. She can supply the PA, mixers, decks and looping gear, needs only a power outlet, is insured, and travels up to 100 km.
