Manoeuvre is a troupe of stilt characters, each with its own personality, and they roam among your guests instead of standing on a stage. Blax move like tall, spindly insects, talking only in stretched postures and long stares. M Claire drifts past in a cloud of bubbles. Jack and Jack are goofy pranksters out looking for playmates, and Red Ribbon is a striking figure in solid red, over two and a half metres tall. They work indoors or out, by day or after dark, so a street festival suits them as much as a company function. Expect a pair of 45-minute walkabouts across three hours. The ground should be dry and non-slip, with around 3 metres of headroom, though they can stoop through doorways. Backstage they'll want a mirror, light, water, toilets and a seat about wheelie-bin height for strapping on. Brisbane-based, fully insured, travels nationwide.
