MaAmselle Claire

Bubbles follow Ma'amselle Claire everywhere. She's a stilt character who steps lightly through a crowd inside her own cloud of them, and in the half-light of evening the act turns to floating balls instead. The Brisbane group behind her has other stilt characters too, and they can be booked alone or together, from a solo walker up to five, though duos are the most common. It's roving, interactive work: the performers weave through the crowd, dancing between groups instead of staying on a stage. They can still hold an audience for a short set when the event calls for it. Their Jack'n'Jack show once did 20 minutes in front of a racecourse grandstand in Mumbai, and Blax performed a five-minute set at an Audi launch in Seoul. Characters can also slot into a larger production alongside other performers.
