Luke McD

Luke McD has been part of Melbourne nightlife for more than 20 years, as a resident DJ, a booker and a musical director for many of the city's venues and events. Music came first. He started on trumpet, playing in up to six bands a week, and later the dance floor won him over, with DJing becoming his main passion. His early gigs had him wearing several hats at once, as promoter, publicist, booker and DJ, which taught him how music, people and the setting all fit together. So on your night he's thinking about how the hours unfold from doors to close, with each track chosen for its place in that arc.
