Slow and a little hypnotic is the mood Lucie Plasse builds behind the decks. Her selections wander between contemplative downtempo, slow trance with a psychedelic edge, dub textures and a thread of pastoral folk, and a set unfolds more like a journey than a string of bangers. That suits a late lounge, a gallery night or a small festival stage where people drift between dancing and just listening. Her love of electronic music started with reggae and dub sound systems in Dijon, France, and she has since played clubs, festivals and listening rooms across Europe, including a set at Club der Visionaere. These days she splits her time between the Australian bush and Melbourne.
