Lisa Genovese is a classically trained mezzo soprano, and a lot of her work happens in church. She knows the Catholic ceremony well, sings in other churches too, and covers funerals as well as weddings. Outside the ceremony she moves into jazz, musical theatre and contemporary songs, and she can build an Italian night around traditional Italian music. Musicians are chosen to fit the occasion: organ or piano, guitar, strings or piano accordion, anywhere from a duo to a band. A wedding might have her singing the ceremony, then roving canapés with an accordionist. She arrives at least an hour early, often visits the venue beforehand, and can use the house PA or bring her own. She's based in Drummoyne and travels nationwide.
