Lewis Florez

Two guitars talk to each other in a Lewis Florez set. Brandon and Alejandro each come from a different tradition, and they bring flamenco, Latin and jazz into the one sound. One plays with a pick, the other finger-picks, and much of the music is improvised as they trade ideas back and forth. The duo format leaves room for both personalities to come through. Their repertoire mixes original pieces with well-known classics, which works well over a long dinner or a wedding drinks hour, when guests are talking but still notice what's playing.
