About
Le Nuvole is a musical duo based in Brisbane, QLD.
Two acoustic instruments, guitar and cello, keep Le Nuvole at a volume your guests can talk over, which is why they sit so easily under a ceremony or a long lunch. Mircha Mangiacotti moves between bossa, folk and jazz on guitar while Emma Hales pushes the cello well past its usual role. The Brisbane duo mixes jazz, Latin and modern classical, writes originals such as Criancas, arranges traditional tunes and reworks old favourites. Past sets have taken in Dos Gardenias, Honeysuckle Rose, Come Prima, Georgia, Besame Mucho, Close to You and Cavatina, and they're happy to take requests. Plan for a covered spot, because the instruments can't be played in full sun or rain. They travel nationwide.
