Lady Valiant

A stomp box keeps the beat for Lady Valiant, with the occasional drummer joining in, under slide guitar and soulful vocals. It's a stripped-back blues and folk sound, though the duo doesn't stick strictly to either. Plan on three sets of 45 minutes, with a short pause after the first and second, mixing covers from the 60s to now with their own songs. Glenna Lynes grew up in South Carolina and Marty Brown in country Victoria, and they moved to Port Douglas in 2016. Setting up and packing down takes half an hour each. Allow roughly 4 by 4 metres and a single 240v power point; the lights come with them. They travel up to 200 km and carry their own public liability insurance.
