Kuta Groove

Kuta Groove are a duo who sound bigger than two people should. Both play several instruments and sing in harmony at the same time, and the percussion-heavy arrangements carry a room. Songs reach from the 60s up to today's charts, taking in reggae, jazz, rock and roll, country, disco, soul, funk, dance and pop. A standard booking runs five hours: three 50-minute sets with two breaks, background music before and between sets, and requests taken from their repertoire. The PA they bring suits roughly 250 people, with two microphones plus a wireless one. The performance area needs to be covered. Under the Kuta Groove name they've opened for Pete Murray, Dragon, Daryl Braithwaite, Kamahl, Johnny Diesel, Mark Gable and Donavon Frankenreiter. The pair live on the Central Coast, hold public liability cover and cover a 100 km radius from home.
