Kristi
About
Kristi is a musical soloist based in Sydney, NSW.
Original songs are at the centre of a Kristi performance, stories of joy and sorrow, some drawn from life and some imagined. She plays piano and guitar and has been writing her own material for years. Kristi comes from the country town of Temora, where she started out singing folk and pop covers in harmony with her sister Kim as Broken Silence. Later came Kindred Spirit, a trio of sisters with acoustic guitar and three-part harmonies that became well known across the Riverina, and the band Final Exit, which toured the region. She spent three years playing Canberra's bars and taverns, recorded the EP A Little Solace, and with the trio ish toured NSW, the ACT, Victoria and South Australia, including the 2006 Peats Ridge Festival on a bill with Angus and Julia Stone and Tim Freedman. Her songs suit a listening room or a relaxed private party.
