Kimosabe is a cover band based in Perth, WA.
Three 45-minute sets of 50s and 60s covers, played as rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, blues and country: that's a night with Kimosabe. The Perth band plays with plenty of drive and adds a modern edge of its own. Expect Great Balls of Fire, What'd I Say, Say Mama, Skinny Jim and Brown Eyed Handsome Man, with Link Wray instrumentals like Comanche and Run Chicken Run, plus Elvis, Carl Perkins and Fats Domino numbers. It's music for jiving, whether that's a wedding, a party, a dance or a proper hoe down. A small stage suits them but isn't essential, and PA and lighting can be supplied on request. They travel nationwide.
