About
Kim Kirkman is a harp player based in Sunshine Coast, QLD.
Kim Kirkman plays the harp from memory, with more than two hours of music ready and thirty years as a professional musician behind him. Requests are welcome, and as a keen arranger he can often work one up for you. The repertoire leans Celtic and traditional, such as The Ashgrove, Planxty Irwin, She Moved Through the Fair and Danny Boy, with Clair de Lune, Gabriel's Oboe and Pachelbel's Canon for a ceremony. Popular songs get the harp treatment too: Here Comes the Sun, Unchained Melody, Fields of Gold and Over the Rainbow. It's gentle music for a wedding, a funeral or a quiet afternoon gathering. Setting up takes two minutes and a chair. He's on the Sunshine Coast, carries insurance and will travel 50 km or so.
