Killtoys mix dark rock with new wave pop, and the lyrics give people something to think about. Mick Bristow sings and plays guitar, Bevan Bancroft plays drums and Stav Tsolakides is on bass. The trio formed in Brisbane in 2019 and has kept a free, flexible approach to its music ever since. That moody, lyric-led sound belongs at a venue gig, a late bar set or an arts event, with an audience that's paying attention to the words.
