Kelsey Berrington

Kelsey Berrington writes sad songs with warm folk tunes, and most of what he plays at a gig is his own. Covers fill in around them: Vance Joy, Ed Sheeran and Passenger, then older ones from Paul Simon and Bruce Springsteen. The Brisbane singer-songwriter has played Woodford Folk Festival, the Gympie Muster, Majors Creek, Neurum Creek and Ground Water, some of them with Freight Train Foxes, the folk duo he's part of. He took his songs to AmericanaFest in the US in 2024 and has busked through the UK and Europe. He has put out two albums under his own name and five EPs as Freight Train Foxes, and produces records for other artists. He brings his own PA for voice and guitar, and travels up to 100 km. It's a good choice where people will actually listen to the lyrics.
