Kat Zia

Before the decks, Kat Zia's life was dance, and her sets still feel like it. She plays tech house with heavy, chunky grooves, mixed with the sleeker, more futuristic edge of electro, and it's built around strong basslines and catchy vocals. The flow from track to track matters to her as much as the energy, which comes from years of understanding how people move on a floor. She's based in Sydney and belongs at warehouse parties, club nights and any event after driving, rhythmic music. She's also started producing her own music.
