Julian James

Finger-picked country guitar and the wail of a fiddle give Julian James his sound. Fronting Julian James and The Moonshine State, he plays a swampy, southern-leaning style of country that belongs somewhere between a back porch and a festival stage. He came up through Melbourne's live music scene and has released four albums, all of them tested live at some of the country's biggest festivals. In 2020 he picked up a Chain Award.
