Jose Lopez

House, disco and funk make up the base of a Jose López set, and over the top he layers rhythms drawn from the Caribbean and from Africa. It's electronic music built for moving, with more percussion and swing than a straight club set. He runs his own nights under the Paraiso Events banner, so he's used to building a dance floor from nothing and keeping it full. If you're planning a late party, a rooftop or a warm-weather celebration where people want to dance rather than stand around, that groove-led style gives the night a lift. He's based in Manly, Queensland.
