JL the Barber mixes Afrobeats, house, hip hop and R&B, and moves between them depending on what the floor is doing. It's a DJ set for dancers, built on watching the crowd and choosing the next track to keep people up. Clubs, festivals and private events are where he plays, and that genre spread helps when your guests come from a lot of different backgrounds and musical tastes. Smooth transitions and plenty of rhythm are the aim from the first track to the last. He's based in Griffith, New South Wales.
