Jez Fogaty

Jez Fogaty switches between guitar, fiddle and mandolin, working through blues, bluegrass, Irish tunes and country. As a luthier, he builds instruments by hand, and some of the instruments you'll hear him play are ones he built himself, which gives guests something to ask about between songs. Jez has spent more than four decades on the road through pubs, clubs and festivals in New Zealand and all over Australia. Along the way he's toured with Margret Roadknight and Dutch Tilders, and with American blues players Robert Lockwood Jr and Champion Jack Dupree. As a solo act he suits a folk club, a winery afternoon or a relaxed pub session. Hobart is home, and he'll travel up to 100 km.
