Jess Allen uses looping to build her songs live, and her own sound sits in indie folk. The set mixes heartfelt originals with covers she has reworked her own way. It can reach back to the 50s and 60s or stay with what's on the radio now, and she shapes it around your crowd, the venue and the kind of event, including how family-friendly it needs to be. So it works for a small gathering at home as much as a corporate function. If the venue has no sound system, Jess can supply her own PA, and lighting as well. For weddings there's more on offer, with duo, band and DJ options. Based in Kiama, she travels up to 200 km and can supply her public liability certificate.
