Jay Boats

Jay Boats plays guitar and keeps the beat with his feet, working foot percussion into his solo show so one person sounds like a small band. He moves through a wide range of genres and styles, and he's in his element once people start dancing. He writes songs as well as playing them, and he won the Port Fairy Folk Festival's songwriter's award. He's a multi-instrumentalist and accompanist too, performing regularly with singers such as Hayley Clare and Natalie Bassingthwaite. For a party that needs a one-man jukebox with real rhythm, he's the call.
