Jason Vorherr

Jason Vorherr writes songs about ordinary Australian life: suburban streets, everyday heroes, the humour and toughness of small communities. His music draws on country, folk and classic pop, in the storytelling tradition of Australian songwriting. Many people will know him as Daryl Braithwaite's long-serving bass player, a job that has taken him onto stages across Australia and overseas. Over the years he has also shared stages and worked with Brian Cadd, Russell Morris, Jack Jones and Glenn Shorrock. These days he writes, records and performs from his home in Melbourne's Dandenong Ranges. A set of his songs suits a listening room, a winery afternoon or a gathering where people want to hear the lyrics.
