Janita Billingham

A harp has more natural resonance than people expect, and Janita Billingham rarely needs to amplify hers, though she can if the room calls for it. The Brisbane harpist has been performing professionally for over a decade, playing Celtic, classical, contemporary, folk, jazz and pop. She'll adjust everything to the event, down to what she wears, and for weddings she can send a list of popular choices to pick from. She also plays in a harp and guitar duo with jazz guitarist Rory Dollard. She can set up outside given shade and firm, dry footing, since the harp can't sit in harsh weather. If the only way in is by stairs, have someone on hand to help carry it. She travels Australia-wide.
