Jane and Lisa is a musical duo based in Melbourne, VIC.
Jane and Lisa build their sound on violin, guitar and tight two-part harmony. Jane Patterson trained as a classical violinist and Lisa Hanley comes from music theatre, and they met working together in Once the Musical. They also sing together in the a cappella and cabaret group Ginger and Tonic. The duo plays pop and classic hits from the 60s on, many reworked for their line-up, from Carole King and Aretha Franklin to Coldplay, Amy Winehouse, The Beatles and Crowded House. Over five hours of material lets it go dancey or stay low-key for a dressier room. At a wedding they can play the aisle, signing and exit songs live, then carry on through canapés. Their own PA handles small rooms and large ones; you supply power and somewhere level and dry to play. Both hold public liability insurance, and from Melbourne they'll go as far as 200 km.
