James Sandon

James Sandon is a jazz saxophonist, and a serious one, which counts at an evening where people will actually stop and listen. He's based in Brisbane, holds a Jazz Performance degree from WAAPA and teaches at the Queensland Conservatorium, where he's a lecturer in Contemporary Performance. He's a D'Addario artist. His playing has taken him on tour through Australasia, Asia and North America, and he has performed with Chris Potter, Ernie Watts and Billy Cobham. He has also recorded with Nnenna Freelon. For a cocktail hour, a gallery opening or a dinner with a jazz-loving crowd, his sax brings real credentials into the room.
