Jake & Andy is a musical duo based in Gold Coast, QLD.
Two mates who started out jamming in a lounge room have played more than 500 weddings since. Jake Newell and Andy Michael cover ceremony through to the last dance as a two-piece, setting up in a space roughly 2.5 metres square with just a wall outlet for power, and can go wireless for a shorter booking. Listed as a Wedding Band and Party Band as well as a Musical Duo, they also work as a Pub Band, a Folk Band and a DJ, so a single booking can carry a reception from acoustic dinner music into a dance set. The song list runs past a hundred tracks and swings wide: Bob Marley and The Beatles sit near Arctic Monkeys, Angus & Julia Stone, The Black Keys and Ben Harper. They cover Gold Coast and South-East Queensland, travelling up to 200 km, and carry public liability insurance.
